Thanks to BlackBerry Cool, I found this new free version of IM+ Lite Messenger by Shape Services. Before this, I was using Nimbuzz (more info here). It worked ok, but the notifications had to be reset everytime the app was restarted. Annoying. IM+ Lite has more features and integrates very well into the BB Operating System. It supports file transfers and group chats for MSN and Skype. Personally, I only use it for Google Talk and Facebook chat, but it also supports Yahoo, Jabber, ICQ, Skype, MySpace and Twitter.
